Tours: Biodynamic Vineyard Tram Tour - $20 per person, is 45 minutes long and you do not need reservations. They take you on a ride through the vineyards, fermentation facility and crush pad. Partners Estate Tour & Tasting - $40 per person, is 1 ½ hours long and appointments are recommended, but not required. This is a behind-the-scenes tour that includes an exclusive seated tasting.
It’s a biodynamic winery. They use sheep to fertilize and till the land, owls to get rid of rodents and specific insects to kill harmful insects. They have many gardens on their property, which the chef at the Glen Ellen Star uses for his produce.

Hanzell only makes Pinots and Chardonnays.

Tours: They have a large variety of tours. One is the Mountain Top Tasting, where they drive you up to the top of one of the hills on the grounds that looks over a good portion of the valley’s vineyards. It is $40 per person and you do need reservations. They also give guided tours of their caves daily for free without an appointment.
They have fabulous Zinfandel chocolate sauce, Merlot and Chardonnay caramel sauce.

 

Landmark Vineyards:

They have tastings in a pavilion, by the pond, in the covered gallery or in the tasting hall.
With 24 hours notice, they can set up a picnic basket for you. They provide you with a food and wine menu. They provide you with a blanket and the picnic basket is even for sale for you to keep.
This is a great winery to hit on your way from or to San Francisco.

They sit on top of the mountain and they have spectacular views of 300 acres of farmed property.
You will spend 1 ½ with them doing a cave tour, barrel sampling and then an Open-Air Vineyard Tour. They take you up to the winery’s highest vineyard blocks to taste while overlooking the lands. You end the tasting with cheese and charcuterie.

 

Robert Hunter Winery:
This is an appointment only winery.
They do tastings Monday-Saturday at 10 and 12, Sundays at 10.
